Fried Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and egg.
  4. Coat each chicken thigh in the flour mixture, then dip it in the buttermilk mixture, and coat it in the flour mixture again.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Add the chicken thighs to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
  8. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
