Fried Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 2 cups vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and egg.
- Coat each chicken thigh in the flour mixture, then dip it in the buttermilk mixture, and coat it in the flour mixture again.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken thighs to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
